This is my birdhouse for the annual Habitat for Humanity auction. Every year they ask about 30 valley artists (that's less than 10!) to interpret a small, wooden birdhouse. Mine went for over a hundred dollars last year. I like this one even better. But, you know. I used my papers on it, so I would ;)
First, I covered it with handmade papers, one from cotton and grass clippings and the other from daylillies. Then I rifled through my fabric notions and decided on the wreath I saved from a Godiva's chocolate box and some uphpolstery trim. I painted the flowers and added the two trims and covered it all with (my favorite) Modge Podge.
Whala!!!
