I was grading an assignment for my classes this morning. It was a color chart that was to include tints and shades of all the primaries as well as mix secondary and tertiary colors. I offered extra credit if they went through and assigned each color with a descriptor. Interestingly, I noticed that while many of them were labeled this way, with adjectives like "capricious", "enigmatic","pernicious" and even "yucky", many of them were also labeled like "advertising" colors. You know, "passion purple", "psycho blue" etc... I cannot remember the best examples, but, truly , I found this very interesting.
