yellow ochre

... is by far my favorite color. I drive by these farm fields several times a week and I wish I could have that field, that color for my very own.




I know, I know... It doesn't work that way, but my response to this color is indescribable. I feel delirious, ecstatic...lifted up somehow. I just want to roll in it, be consumed by it.



I kind of have a thing for haystacks too. I have hundreds of photos like these, of the drive back and forth from Monte Vista and Alamosa. They're not terribly interesting, but I am compelled to take them all the same. However....I'm never particulalry compelled to stop the car to do so.
