placesettings

These are three of the four pieces that were submitted for the Denver MoCA jurist.







As place settings, they speak directly to the issue of consumption, however, they are made from recycled and biodegradeable materials. Should they be discarded, they would break down rapidly, some have flower seeds (a butterfly mix) and could, concievably be "planted". Even art is accountable now.

Material: bisqueware; salt-fired clay (this plate was intended as part of a set, but warped in the firing in a way that made it unsuitable for using as dinnerware), handmade paper, beeswax and flower seeds
