The above drawing isn't done in this photo, but it was at this point that I started to really like it. It has feet now and has gotten lighter. It's about the busy-ness of creativity...

I started it by applying gesso to the back side of old birch panelling(recycle, recycle, recycle!) and drawing into the wet gesso with caran-dache crayons(acrylic wet/dry crayons). After that, I alternated between those and Rembrandt soft pastels, modgepodge and water, and finally, oil/paint sticks.
